报告人简介：

Dr. Zoe A. Wilsonis a professor of Plant Biology at Nottingham University, where her research focused on molecular genetic analysis of floral development and male reproduction, pollen and anther development, to improve crop yields by effective breeding strategiesnand optimising/controlling pollen fertility in the model system Arabidopsis and rice, barley, wheat as well as underutilise crops. Using Systems Biology and Bioinformatics Approaches to construct, develop and functionally test pollen/anther regulatory networks in model systems and then translating these to crops. Of particular interest is the effect of abiotic stress on pollen development, the damaging effects of temperature on male fertility in higher plants. Leads a “Global Innovations Initiative on Food Security” involving several US and Chinese institutions, and has projects on alternative crops with CFFRC. Dr. Zoe has published more than 30 papers in top journals of plant science, includingPlant cell, New Phytologist,Trends in Plant Science,etc.
